Game 4. Well the Kent boys are off to the finals on Saturday after another fine team effort. They started off slowly and fell behind 0-1 to a strong Gig Harbor team. But then "things" just seem to happen and they found them tied up. Eventually the team strung a few hits and bunts together and ended up winning 4-1. They now wait for a few days to see who they will face on Saturday morning at 9.00am. Come support this great bunch of kids in the championship game. Game 4 Photo's Here
Game 3. Wow!!!! if you weren't there, you missed a "Thriller". Absolutely incredible effort on both teams part. Scoreless into the 9th inning where Kent plated 5 runs and allowing Alderwood only 3. What an incredible game by all involved. Kent now moves on to the winners bracket final tomorrow (Wednesday) against a very good Gig Harbor team that beat North Bothel in the other semi-final. Game time is 5pm. Congrats to all on the game of all games!!!!!! Some Stats from the game. Jaylen pitched 7 1/3 innings gving up one hit and striking out 11. Game 2. Kent LL 14 Asotin County LL 1. This game contained many highlights, from pitching to hitting to fielding. Nearly every player had a hit or an RBI in this one. From Cody and Koby to Bennett and Grant. The hightlight would still have to be Jaylens grand slam home run and 5 RBI night. However, Jordan did steel some of the highlight reel with his perfectly placed bunt and subsequent display of pure joy at first base. Ryan pitch 4 hitless innings giving up no runs and striking out 4 . Another all around perfomance from everyone. Stats, Travis 1 for 2 with 1 rbi, Nate 1 for 2 with 1 rbi, Jaylen 2 for 2 with 5 rbi with 1 grand slam, Ryan 1 for 2, Jacob 2 for 3, Woods 1 for 1 with 2 rbis, Bennett 1 for 1, Jordon 1 for 2, Cody 1 for 2 with 1 rbi . The Kent 9/10 All-Star team has been waiting for over four weeks to get the State Tournament started and they didn't wait long to make an impression. The Kent boys started the first inning off with five runs crossing the plate.
Jaylen started the pitching but didn't last long because by the time they had finished their second at bat, Kent was ahead 14 - 0 and he was pulled at 19 pitches to allow him to be available for the next game. He was replaced by Jacob A who struck out 5 while only giving up 2 hits. He allowed only a couple of runs in his 2 2/3 innings of work.
The Kent boys were still not finished hitting and by the end of the game, and contributions from everyone including a triple by Ryan and a line drive home run by Ben Wadowski, they plated another 4 runs to make the final score 18 - 3.
Some other highlights from the game were: Nates 4/4 effort with 2 RBI's, Wadowskis 3 RBI's, Ryan's 4 RBI's and Cody's pick-off throw that included Jaylen and Ryan for the out. Koby, Ben W, Grant, Jordan and Bennett all finished the game with hits. It was truly and all out effort from every player. Kent now plays Asotin County on Sunday at 9.00am

Game 1.Saturday June 13th. Game 1 Photos can be seen here
Well the 9/10 year old allstar team is off to a great start. The kids are really coming together. Our first game was against Steel Lake LL which has historically has played us tough. Kent came out on top in a 13-0 win in 4 innings with Jaylen pitching all 4 innings. Jaylen pitched great allowing only 2 hits with 8 strikeouts.
Offensively we pounded out 8 hits. Jaylen went 3 for 3 with Travis, Ben Woods, Jordon, Cody, and Koby all adding hits of there own. The kids ran the bases extremely well and put the ball in play. We also drew lots of walks which meant the boys were patient at the plate.
Defensively the kids were ready every pitch which was great to see. We had nice plays by Jordon, Bennett, and Wadowski. Cody also did a nice job behind the dish.
Game 2. Sunday June 14th. Game 2 Photos are here
The boys from Kent came out on fire against BLS LL. Kent won 17-6 in there second game. The kids fired off 8 runs in the top of the 1st and Then added runs in every inning but the second. Ben Wadowski pitched 5 strong innings doing a great job changing speeds.
Offensively the kids came to play. Big nights by Ryan going 2 for 3 with a 3 run Hr giving him 5 RBIs for the day, Jacob also went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and Ben Wadowski helping himself out going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's. Ben Woods also had a good night going 2 for 2. Travis, Nate, and Jaylen all added hits of their own
Defensively, BLS put the ball in play. Kent responded tough. Nate played extremely well at 2nd having 4 nice plays. Wadowski fielded his position having 3 put outs of his own. But I think the most impressive was our outfield not only making the catches but running the ball down hit in the gaps and getting it in quickly not allowing the runners to advance. Overall a great defensive game. Keep it up boys.
Kent will now play on Wednesday June 17th at 6pm (5.45pm). They will play the winner of the Federal Way National versus Auburn game that is being played on Tuesday night. Hope to see you all there the kids appreciate the support.
Game 3.Wednesday June 17th at 5.45pm V's Auburn Game 3 Pictures
Well the boys pulled out all the stops today against a very good Auburn team. With great defense from the very first inning all the way throughout the game paved the way for a good 4-0 win to put the Kent boys in the Championship Game on Saturday at 3pm.
Travis Hansen led the way with a stellar 3-3 day, Ben Wadowski chimed in with a hit as did several other Kent players. Backed by some timely sacrifice flies from Ryan and Jayleen and a couple of great sacrifice bunts by Nate all helped manufacture the 4 runs needed to win. Jaylen pitch 5 2/3 scoreless innings and Jacob Anderson came in to retire the last Auburn batter for his first save of the season.
Bennett Harrison, had a great defensive plays at short stop as did Nate Arreola at second base. Cody Faulkner had another strong performance behind the plate picking of an Auburn runner at second base. Jacob Andersons relay to the plate through Jaylen Eichler, caught the Auburn leadoff hitter out by four steps where Cody laid the perfect tag. All 'n' all a great solid win by the Kent Team with every player contributing towards the outcome.
Kent now remains the only unbeaten team in the tournament and must now wait for a team from the bottom half of the bracket. Those games will be played Thursday and Friday with the winner coming through to meet Kent on Saturday afternoon at 3pm. This game will be played after the Kent 10 -11's All - Star team debuts in it's tournament against Steel Lake at 12pm at the same complex. Also don't forget, the girls fastpitch also starts for our 10 -11 team at the same place and same time as the boys 10-11's. So come out and support the Kent teams in their quest for success.
Championship Game . Saturday June 20th V's Auburn Game 4 Pictures
Kent started the game as home team for the first time in the championship series but never once let it affect the way they played. In fact they started the game the same way they did the first time they played them. Travis Hansen lead off the game with one of his two hits. Followed by a well-executed sacrifice bunt by Nate Arreola to move him to second. After a 14 pitch at bat by Jaylen Eichler, Ryan Anderton stepped up and hit a single into right field to score Travis. Ryan was replaced by the ever speedy Jordan Wright who moved to second on a passed ball and scored on Jacob Andersons' single to right to make it 2-0 after 1 inning.
Ryan then went about pitching a very good game backed by some very sturdy defense by all of the team. Bennett Harrison making plays at third base along with Ben Woods and Ben Wadowski at first all contributed to some timely defense.
Everything stayed pretty much in balance until again in the fifth inning when Kent tagged on two more runs through some more timely hitting from Hansen, Arreola, Anderton and Anderson with Koby Huerta using his speed to score for Nate.
Ryan started the sixth inning with 8 pitches left under his pitch count. With one out Auburn was able to score a consolation run with Kent opting to get the second out. With two outs Jacob Anderson came in and pitched 3 pitches for the save. The team played outstanding defense throughout the tournament. Cody was steady behind the dish, Grant Stockman coming back from an earlier sinus infection and making plays at third, Jaylen playing a strong short stop,Nate doing a wonderful and solid job at second and our incredible outfielders all deserve praise for a great tournament. Congratulations to you all!!!!!
